Academic departments hosting the class needing an override are responsible for entering the override code in Banner. Contact the Department Chair for information on who in your department is authorized to do this.
Overrides are entered in Banner. Review the SFASRPO Override Guide for the steps to take.
If you have entered an override for a student, but they are still receiving an error, review the Registration Errors webpage for details on each error.
Students are able to register themselves for classes once their registration window has opened until 11:59 PM on the self-registration deadline.
After the self-registration deadline has passed, students are able to register themselves for classes with department permission until the census date. Department permission is done as an override.
After the census date has passed, students can only be registered by the academic departments through the Late Enrollment process. Contact the Department Chair for information on who in your department is authorized to handle this process.

The academic department will follow the steps to enter an override in SFASRPO in Banner to allow the student to self-register. Review the Override Guide above for this process.
Students will only be able to add themselves until the self add-deadline. For specific deadlines, please refer to the Academic Calendar.
At 11:59 p.m. on the self-add deadline, the remaining students on the waitlist will be purged (meaning they will no longer appear on the waitlist on the student and faculty view).
The waitlist must be purged on this date in order to be able to allow students to waitlist for later parts of term. We want to be consistent and have the ability to offer the waitlist option to all parts of term.
